You didn’t seriously think the Mac Mini would be spared , did you? The maniacal customizers over at Colorware have added Apple’s latest bit of desktop furniture to their stable of “have it your way” electronics, with a $250 price tag for the paintjob by itself and a $1,000 levy if you want them to procure the hardware as well. Hey, we know that’s expensive, but somebody’s got to be buying all these crazy-hued gadgets for the company to keep going, right?

Oh sure, you love gadgets — but do you have the chops to write about them? We’d love to know if you think you do, because we’re looking to actually pay people to do this stuff

Looking for something a bit more basic (and less expensive) than Lenovo’s A300 series of all-in-one PCs? Then you might want to consider the company’s IdeaCentre B305 , which is now finally shipping after making its debut back in May. It’ll set you back just $699, which will get you a 21.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 multitouch display, a 2.7GHz AMD Athlon II X2 235e AM3 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner, among other standard fare — higher-end configurations are also available, of course, and top out at $949

Normally when we’re all like “did anything happen this week?” in a podcast post, it’s because we’re being big kidders. But seriously, nothing much happened this week, so we’re going to do some Q&A. How do you ask us a question, you ask?

Rude Gameware new’s Fierce Teflon & Steel Mouse Surface may not have a built-in calculator or USB hub , but it is made of Teflon and steel, which makes it a multipurpose mousepad in its own special way. Still can’t justify spending $30 on a mousepad

This is the Disco Chair, the brainchild of Kiwi&Pom, and though we’re not fans of things with the word ‘disco’ in their names, this one is outstanding and beautiful. It’s made with 200 meters of electroluminescent wire, and the lighting can flash on and off (hence the disco moniker). Hit up the source for a few more shots.

When we first saw its face in a Italian ad, more than one Engadget editor called its bluff: “The top half doesn’t line up with the bottom,” some said, “that’s got to be Photoshopped.” While that early image was indeed CG, the form factor was certainly not — the new Xbox 360 sports enough sleek angles and disappearing curves we’ve taken to calling it the Stealthbox. As mother always told you, though, it’s what’s inside that counts; does that glossy exterior house any improvements, or is it hiding just another Xbox
