The more the merrier, right? Cutesy sayings aside, the world is gearing up to say “hello” to yet another player in the NAND flash memory market, as Japan’s own Elpida Memory (which currently specializes in DRAM) will be joining the fray in the coming months.

With all the excitement surrounding the solar powered UAV’s record-breaking flights , we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that QinetiQ’s Zephyr has finally landed in an airfield in Arizona, 14 days and 24 minutes after take-off. This quadruples the previous unofficial world record for unmanned flight (which it set itself in 2008). This is a dramatic proof-of-concept, having flown longer without refueling than any other airplane

Looks like Dell might finally be at peace with the US Securities and Exchange Commission — for now at least. The company has announced that it’s reached a settlement for “alleged omissions prior to Fiscal 2008″ regarding both its relation with Intel and some accounting this-and-that.

We’re going to go out on a limb and guess that most folks haven’t been losing sleep over the prospect of a Kin software update (or lack thereof), but those that have been constantly watching their One or Two for a bit of good news can now rest a little easier — sort of. While the Kin has received a software update, it’s not the previously talked about one that would add revolutionary features like Twitter replies and re-tweets. It does add a number of other more minor Twitter updates, however, including Twitter avatars and re-tweets from your contacts in the Kin Loop, and the ability to link your Twitter contacts to your Kin contacts.

We’ve got to hand it to Samsung with its Galaxy S line. Coordinating the launch of a single family of devices across all four national US carriers (plus a regional or two) is a feat very rarely accomplished, and usually reserved for really unique handsets that those carriers wouldn’t be able to effectively source from anyone else; HTC’s Touch Pro2 is a prime example of that. Add to that the murky issue of exclusivity periods..

So it seems that founding and operating a broadcast mobile TV business is no mean feat: as mocoNews points out, there is spectrum to be purchased and transmission towers to be networked — all before you can sell electronics manufacturers on carrying your chipset in their devices. Unfortunately for Qualcomm , it looks like FLO TV has been something less than profitable, a reality that CEO Paul Jacobs owned up to in the company’s Q3 conference call. What is there to be done, then?

With tongue wedged firmly in cheek , Adobe has named its latest little bit of demo software Flash Time and given it a quick spin to whet our appetites. Built using the forthcoming Air 2.5, this peer-to-peer video chat client harnesses your smartphone’s camera to get some direct visual communication going with your fellow Android lovers. Okay, so Android users already have other options for doing just this very thing, but the point being made here is that you can do just about anything with Flash, and since it’s Flash it’ll be easy to port around to other platforms
